OPAK Give a Hope To New Students Of IAIN Surakarta

SURAKARTA, Solo — The new year of education in each colleges will be open by “OSPEK”. IAIN Surakarta makes a difference by changing the name of “OSPEK” become “OPAK”. As the aims of OSPEK itself, they hope that the new students will be the figure of the best future.

They held OPAK on 31 august until 4 September 2015. Those five days used by the new students to know well their campus and what should be done in the next. For 3 days they spent OPAK time with BEM pusat and 2 days with BEM fakultas.

The secretary of that event, Ms Fatonah, said “the reason why we held the events is to make the new students know and understand about all of the campus environment  about academic, UKM, and other thing that should be known well as the student of IAIN Surakarta”.

In an interview after the event, Ms Fatonah also said that the event was done successfully, the new students looks so excited to follow all the agenda of OPAK. She also said that the events opened and closed by some miserable things which make the event run well.

“I was so busy before the event was held,” she said, referring to his job as a secretary of that event. It can be seen from so many volunteers there. It is about 2000 new students follow the event and about 100 committees handle the event.

As usual, the event was done in their campus. Those environment campuses are in the field, in Graha, and in the next of build A. Each place used based on what kind of their schedule agenda. If the OPAK which be held by BEM Fakultas, the place is on their each faculty builds.
